The Killing of Mollie Tibbetts Murder Trial

It’s been almost two years since 20-year-old University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts disappeared while on an evening jog, setting off an enormous search that made national news. A month after her disappearance Cristhian Rivera, a local dairy farm worker who was in the country illegally, was arrested, allegedly confessed to her murder and led investigators to her body. But before the police homed in on Rivera there were four other viable suspects that were looked into and eventually cleared. What prompted the suspicion in these men and could it be used as a viable defense when Rivera goes on trial later this month? Host Vinnie Politan and Court TV Legal Correspondent Julia Jenaé will share what was revealed about them in court documents and how it may impact the trial. Get the latest updates on CourtTV and CourtTV.com and tune in to see Vinnie Politan and the entire Court TV team review each day’s testimony on Closing Arguments weeknights from 8pm to 11pm.
