THE INVITATION/ THE SACRAMENT: Cults

Don't Drink That! Drop you glasses of Flavor Aid, leave your family, and stop listening to that raving mad man trying to save your soul! The Cadaver Dogs are your new community. Join the pack as we dig up some historically inspired cult films.

Jim Jones and The People's Temple inspired this Ti West film, THE SACRAMENT, which changes only a few key details.  Not for the faint of heart, nobody is safe in this found footage gore fest lead by a crew of Vice journalists looking for a crew member's sister in a "remote part of the world." Is the mysterious leader known as "Father" to be trusted? Leaving the jungle and going to dinner with the ex, we light some red lanterns in THE INVITATION, a heavy exploration of grief and, you guessed it, a strange community who likes to watch people die.  What draws people to these groups? What is a cult? And do the Dogs have the answers?
